“Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand - and melting like a snowflake…” - Francis Bacon, Sr. i wish you all a wonderful turning of the years! i did not come around to write my last glee of the week because of superstress! i'll do it next year as a massive love thing :D

weekly glee # 22 2009.

christmas is getting nearer and nearer, and time speeds up. i'm counting the days until the stress is finally over. i'm already thinking of next year and hope that it will be a bit more relaxing. ( okay, i'm planning to move, but it doesn't really stress me out like these christmas days do, haha :D ). yesterday it snowed for the first time, it wasn't that much though. the mountains near me had more luck, the newspaper showed a white winter wonderland up there. i should drive up and make some photos ( oh, hai new camera - silver one, there wasn't any other colour in the shop, buhu). until then.. some goodies found on the net :D 1. desertions. almost castle-like / indoor grass # abandoned train station in abkhazia by dmitry mordolff - two words: truly magnificient! someone should totally renovate this beautiful building. but it's actually pretty fantastic as it is now. reminds you, that there's still this georgian-abkhaz conflict going on with the sout...

we are the robots, dumdumdumdum.

i've found so many crazy shoes lately and now i can't wait to share. ( finding prices for some of these is a pain in the ass, so i decided to not include them in this case. which is on most of them, haha. damn slow internet. ) coclico ndakinna $388.00 - i really like how the front spat is attached to the sole. and the heel isn't that high so i could still walk! prouenza schouler wedges ( not in store yet ). totally to die for! it reminds me of the sea because of its wavy heel form! pierre hardy wedges ( prize not found ). well these are obviously pretty hard to walk in, but the straps, the colours! these are made for summer. chloé wedges from 2007 ( the prize was also nowhere to be found ). aaaaaah! first: colooooouuurss! second: the wedge is beyond genious. like a step shoe! clementine shoe ( website doesn't work for me ). so tell me. is this shoe awesome? it's a wooden wonder! zipper action! acne belville ( 440 EUR ). the geometric of this wondrous boot to...

weekly glee # 21 2009.

i don't really feel like christmas lately, work really is stressful these days. some colleagues got sick and it's a lot of work for those, who remain. i don't really have a clue what to buy as presents, i wanted to visit the sternschnuppenmarkt here in wiesbaden, but then end up at home again, since i'm so groggy. so to cheer me up ( and maybe some of you ), here's my weekly list of loved goodies found on the net. 1. desertions. # neutief-luftwaffe air-base in the kaliningrad region by tbsf - beautiful pictures of european history. # druid ridge cemetary & the death of transfiguration by the hoodwatch - the cemetary is so breathtaking! i love how the hoodwatch manages to make those sculptures look like they'd start walking and moving in the next few minutes. also, the church is still so magnificient, even though it's in such a state of demolition. it's kind of sad and unfair to see something so wonderful vanish from the world's surface. # vic...

weekly glee # 20 2009.

so... christmas time starts! have you all decorated your homes yet? already bought some presents? enjoyed your very first mulled wine and ate warm sugar roasted almonds? visited a christmas market? here's a small collection of great things i found last week. 1. desertions. old decadence / surprise # 'time that crosses streets' by der5pezialist - an eerie building in talinn, estonia. der5spezialist really does a good job showcasing the gone glory of historical architectures. # 'the benett school for girls' by dark_fetus - a finishing school for young woman. looks like a set for 'the adams family' movies! i like the wood works on the building. it must be heart-attacking to wander 'round there in the midst of the night. what a real gem of ghost house this is! # 'wasteland' by g_r_a_z_a - little ghosts and strange creatures found in an abandoned house! oh, well, i'd wish they be real, but unfortunately they're not. still, amazing work! vis...

weekly glee # 19 2009.

1. desertions. bright colours in the coldest season. # thehoodwatch's 'rural decay' - suburban wonderfulness, with old cars, almost derelicted shacks and houses in a nice autumn atmosphere. thehoodwatch never fails to amaze me. # raskalov_vit's 'small abandoned town' - i am beyond words for this fantastic place. it looks like the spirits of the previous owners still float around everywhere, and it's somehow sad and creepy to see an entire town all left behind. # rusty tagliareni's 'the overbrook asylum' - this guy's pictures are my new favourites! it's great that he always researches informations about the places he explores, how they looked in former times, what happened there... and the videos he provides score with amazing music, which is a double plus. makes the places more creepy. check out his blog for more stunning places! 2. photogenius. bubblegum beau / armoured ingeniousity # 'ascension' by nick knight for dazed ...

weekly glee # 18 2009.

i'm sorry, that i only post the weekly glees lately. i don't have a lot of time for anything different, really. work is stressing me out to the max and i just want to lay down afterwards and hibernate until next year. november is truly the most unattractive month existing. well except of falling leafs, hot chocolate, cake and cookie baking and cuddling under bedcovers. 1. desertions. castle in russia /fortress cellar in kaliningrad ( königsberg ) # spanish farmhouse by battlingbeauty - spain has the most wonderful landscapes and i'm always in awe how people built there houses on the strangest and barren undergrounds. this farmhouse is no exception! # a fortress in kaliningrad by tbsf - i love brickworks! this fortress must be an amazing labyrinth. # old changi hospital in singapore by berryplum - this place gives me the creeps. it's so well photographed! i'm expecting to see a ghost suddenly showing up in the corners... # an assortment of various cute and old hou...
