in early march i attented a big birthday party - the father of a friend celebrated his 50th - and it took place in a beautiful old mill in the state of saarland.
his wife decorated the mill with a lot of beautiful candle holders and fine drapery.
as the light was quickly fading away i managed to take a few photos from outside the mill. it was the first beautiful day in a while.

when the party was over we gathered all the candle holders in one place.
all of them were created by the birthday boy's wife, she's a potter and sculptor and generally has a knack for creating beautiful things.
