ghost of nature.

the songs i loved most in may. there are songs that were especially important to me this month. and i'd like to mention them: wanda jackson . funnel of love kate bush . cloudbusting bright eyes . no one would riot for less incubus . sick sad little world chelsea wolfe . halfsleeper cäthe . ding radiohead . creep of course all the other songs mean a lot to me as well. otherwise they wouldn't get presented here. dir en grey for example... they are always deep in my heart, my mind, my ears. 

on monday we headed to oberwesel to have a look at the medieval spectacle that takes place here every two years. they close down the inner city just for this. everything that looks kind of modern is covered with blankets and flags. and it's like you're trapped in the middle of a medieval market day, unless you proceed to ignore the modern looking visitors. i love these kind of events so much. i know that the dark ages weren't exactly rosy, but still, i can't help to feel a deep love for this era. procession. the tent of the unfortune-teller. happy grandma stitching. forging. cute dog with pony tail. the knight's inn. i loved these wooden lamps! a huge piece of blue glass. candles in the making. a beautiful place to rest. musicians. walking on hay. stilt walker and hand reader. the falcons and owls were so precious! cloudbusting! it was ver...

this weekend my parents and me decided to hike a 15 km trail by the rhine, along vines and ruins and i realized again how great it is to live in such a beautiful area. i don't want to miss it. why is our planet so full of breathtaking beauty and the human species not really able to comprehend all this? i really think people should be more thankful of what they already have. i'm so thankful to experience the glory that is our earth. if there weren't such things as nature, animals, landscapes, skies and all the things that people tend to oversee because it is mediocre to them, this earth would be so hopeless, more than ever. and i wouldn't have the guts to survive all this. it is because of places like these that help me to live.
