#lovetober: early christmas paradise.

in late october a friend took me to a gardening center here in wiesbaden and  a really good one it was ! my friend says that the center is the equivalent to ikea stores - just for plants. a multitude of plants and flowers can be bought here, as well as gardening tools. they also have a little pet section. another surprise they offer is the 'christmas wonderland' - a huge section that sells christmas decorations galore - divided into several moods & themes and presented in a very aesthetically pleasing way! i didn't buy a lot, only new plants for my bathroom and my living room. but to finally have a look at this gardening center was really cool and i hope to return whenever i need something plants and flowers related. interesting pattern. little baby leaf of  pachira aquatica  - a little money tree! i bought one and just in case you want to know - no it does not grow any money like in a sims game - but this little tree is supposed to be a lucky one! th...

#lovetober: birthday shenanigans.

october is my birth month and i always try to celebrate it by doing more things i enjoy. i don't like birthday parties at all, a day in nature or exploring a new place is much more to my liking when it comes to 'celebrate'. it's wonderful when family or friends accompany me, but i also like the solitude of experiencing something without any distractions. ( most of the time my friends aren't part of that, daily life occupations detain them from joining me & even a totally different life style ( waking up at 3 pm for example ) cross them off my company list - sadly. ) so when my parents are visiting i always know: exploring time galore! they are the best people for taking in what mother earth has to offer, for learning about historical facts at the places we are visiting and enjoying good food on our trips. my birthday was in the middle of the week, and on the weekend my parents came to visit. we enjoyed a wonderful walk through the goldsteintal and ended o...

#lovetober: fall colours & animals.

october is my most favourite month of the year - and it's not because i'm always turning one year older every year around this time. it's because of the warm colours that nature wraps us in while it withers. because the hot days of summer are finally gone and i can bundle up again. because of the upcoming season of ghosts and the unknown. it's a golden time with a dark twist, in a melancholic state. i feel welcomed and warmed when fall comes around. i'm always sad when fall bids farewell again. in october i constantly visited animal parks, alone and with friends, so you have to bear with a lot of animal photos.  reminder to calm myself down when things get busy & to not freak out. this was part of the #lovetober challenge.   red leaves leaving shadows on a concrete wall. warehouse growth. tree on fire. poisonous purple. backyard walls of town villas. halloween! well, not yet. i got a day off on my birthday this year ( wh...
