the wisper valley is a beautiful small valley which is known for it's lush green hills, medieval castles and the wispertaltsteig - a hiking trail of 15 kms. we decided to walk the first half on one of the last days of my summer vacations. it was seriously magnificent. the trail begins in espenschied - a climatic spa village. trail to the dinosaur cliffs. don't you think the stone formations look like the back of a stegosaurus ? there were quite a few small adits to be found in the forests. of course i climbed into them :) the werkerbrunnen, a well that contains water with carbon dioxide & ferric. the water was used as medicinal water in former times, even though too much of it could damage you. we tried a few sips and it tasted like sparkling blood. it was beautifully overgrown with ferns. we made a longer break here. sitting in the sun was really relaxing. spot timmy, the baby sheep, in the...

glashaut music mix: aug.'13 from glashaut. on 8tracks Radio . autumn crawls into sight and the mornings are darker, the nights get longer, the temperatures fall.  the mind prepares for hibernation mode.  the thoughts of autumn - when the summer is still present but on the edge of disappearing - are kind of spooky and haunting, leaving a green ghost behind to welcome ghosts of the golden season.

i've been to the frankfurt zoo a few times already, this time i had my parents with me who never visited it before. i guess it's safe to say that they liked the zoo as much as i do. if you want us to show something in your area simply pick out an animal park or zoo and we'd be happy and content for the rest of the day, haha. the lion staying in the shadows, it was a very hot day. i love the playfulness the otters exhibit at all times of the day :) strange little birds walking around throughout the park. i think they're some kind of coot. fennec sleep! howdy! birds of prey generally are really fascinating. these are bateleur eagles. rhino in the sun. sacred baboon family. kookaburras! laughing jackasses ;) spotted thick-knees. nicobar pigeon. sable antelope. ah~ sea horses. this is a stonefish. they are highly toxic! imagine you find this stone-lookalike and then stepping on it. it is ...
