autumn walks: from the central station to sonnenberg.

this walk was quite a hike. i needed three hours for the whole walk. 1.5 h to sonnenberg and 1.5 h back to the city. but it was nice. the pretty coloured trees and the architecture i've seen, made up for the bad muscle soreness i had after the walk. yeah, and these things still do, whilst i'm - again - struggling with my knee. japanese maple. this is going to be a kindergarten , but it definitely would be a dream house for me to live in. it's kinda strange that i like pompous villas as much as minimal houses. oh, the extremes. the industrial training & technology center wiesbaden II . view onto the inner city. i do live not far away from that black tower. in the back you can see the taunus. i love detailed shoots. and i love the bokehs in the backgrounds that always develop when doing macroshots. when you're going to sonnenberg, you will walk a bit of the rheinhöhenweg . there are two of this trail, one on the right side of the rhine and one on the left. the one on...

autumn walks : the rhine.

i love doing walks in autumn. i have the feeling that everything is simply more peaceful then. falling leaves, yellow, red, brown, mixed colours. the weather is a little bit cooler, so you're not out of breath after one hour of walking. even the people are not so annoying like in summer or spring. i'm born in autumn and autumn is perhaps my favourite time of the year, even though i like all seasons. recently it doesn't quite feel like autumn though, even if it looks like it. but the temperatures are up to 16 C these days, more like spring time. a lot of flowers still have blossoms and some bushes already developed new leaves, haha. the first walk i did a week ago, visiting the rhine. rhine is just one of my favourite places in wiesbaden ( that's why i always post so many photos of it :D ), even though the river is most beautiful the more you get to koblenz. i said it before: water just soothes me. the haven in schierstein . view onto the taunus . the storks are out of t...

dresden pt. 4.

hello, all! i know, there was huge break between the last post and this one, but it was because i was working all week ( and still am - no day off ), but today i could go home in time ( like 20 minutes after work officially ended for me ), so i have some time for this last dresden post :D no big words, off we go! the last day we made a boat sight seeing on the elbe ( and before that visited the 'grüne gewölbe' - so there's a few 'not on board' photos as well ). we started in dresden and ended up in pillnitz ( with the wonderful castle pillnitz - which we did not explore any further, unfortunately. ) it was a very sunny day and perfect for making a boat trip! i even got my regular sun burn - it's a rule by now, everytime i'm on a boat sun has to kiss me! ) in the morning. there were horses nearby our accommodation. the catholic church again. silhouettes. lion head in front of the grüne gewölbe. frauenkirche! it was crowded everytime we passed here. which wa...
