abandoned trailer - would be perfect to use as some kind of hang-out place! there were also days that did not involve snow during this winter, but provided the usual sometimes very grey and drab winter uniformity that many people do not like. while the darkness can get to you if it lasts longer than a few days, it can also, if in the right mindset, be a sort of cozy one. we have a public barbeque spot in our village that i checked out on this grey day. one can vividly imagine it being a nice place when the local festivities take place here. sometimes they do bbq evenings here or mulled wine parties. i have not been to any of these happenings yet, but perhaps in the future! summer is ahead of us and might give more chances for barbeques and get togethers. i love the very out of place sliding doors they attached to the hut 😁 it's also a good place just to hang out and maybe have a picknick or lunch. even after a long hike you could return to this place and lounge around a little. a ...

meadow views towards the aartaunus. this walk i made with my neighbor lady from downstairs and it led us again to hennethal ( which increasingly is my favourite little neighbor village amongst all neighbor villages around us ). it was another gorgeous walk in the snow, and i gotta say, the snow gods from above were very kind this year to bless us with lots of it! while we now are in spring when this post will arrive, and i am ready to embrace this new season, it´s still nice to reminisce about winter some more. snowed in pathways.  nearing a wooded area called happern. view towards the newer part of strinz-trinitatis. i can never say no to this panorama! from basbacher berg towards strinz, limbach & hühnerberg. when we entered the happern woods every twig and every branch was covered with snow and made it look like we were in the middle of a spider web!  we made our way through a bit of a rough patch of woods and followed only tiny paths at first. a little rocky area with ...
