rhine river sculptures. every year in early june a little festival is taking place in eltville , a small town about 12 kilometers away from wiesbaden. it's all about one special flower: the rose. it takes place in one of the most romantic places in the whole city, the castle grounds. over the years the event also grew and there are stages & activities all over the inner city as well. i've never been there before, and since my parents were visiting me on the pentecoast weekend i thought it might be nice to check this out. fortunately it was a good idea, even though i knew there would be crowds of people running around ( which i generally dislike, with few exceptions ). the setting of the festival is just super beautiful and who can say no to all kinds of blooming flowers? definitely not me. which makes me endure the hassle of blazing my trail through tight little streets that are crammed with people. i shot a huge amount of photos that day, presenting you now a n...
