june: out and about in wiesbaden.

these are photos i shot while i was doing errands in the city, or when i needed to take a break once in a while, when the four walls of my home are too narrow for me. wiesbaden has quite an assortment of art nouveau architecture, as most of the houses here were erected around 1900, when the city flourished due to its spa bath houses and the fact that the e mperor wilhelm and his family were continuing guests. wiesbaden was always a rich city, it still is. and since i love everything art nouveau it's a little pleasure to the eye for me. every now and then you spot little reliefs in random walls all around the town. sometimes i can't even remember where i shot the photos, as it just happened to this one. on the old cemetery ( which is open for the public all year round and serves as a recreational facility ) there is this beautiful grave memorial for princess pauline of württemberg, duchess of nassau . hessia & rhineland palatinate were once a stat...

june: inside.

june was pretty uneventful. i did a few walks throughout the month, mostly city-related, but since i am already acquainted with it, there rarely is something new to document. june was actually more introverted for me. i retreated into my summer snail house, didn't meet a lot of people ( except people at work ) and generally i was in a pretty dark mood throughout this time.  summer isn't my most favourite time of the year, not mainly because it's so hot outside ( even though it is one of the reasons ), but because my mind is playing evil tricks on me. it often lurks me into shallow waters to drown me in a much deeper one. the rut i'm in often feels insurmountable. especially when you are considering your very own life situation and deem it wortless and not changeable.  a lot of things changed this month. i decided to sign a new contract which pays me less money, but has overtime compensation - which at this time is most important to me, because i felt so sucked ou...

may: orphan kittens & childhood village.

at the end of may i had a week off of work and went home. it wasn't a good week. i had a small accident with huge consequences while visiting my brother, then, when returning home from a big odyssey to a police department, we had to discover that shadow, my cat, was missing and left two little kittens. a lot of of gadgetry and house equipment broke along the way, and it seriously felt like one big week of poop. only the baby kittens made up for all of these drawbacks, and my father's birthday celebration by the end of the week. also, my parent's garden is beautiful at any time of the year and it also provided a calming surrounding, working in the garden helped me processing all which happened and mourning my sweet shadow cat. we have never found her. meet momo and little devil. momo is the tiger black&grey&white cat and little devil the almost black one. both found new homes when they were 8 weeks old. we had to take care of them both and we were very glad th...
