a day in the spa gardens.

these pictures are from a month ago, i can't remember it exactly anymore. it was a terrible day, with my car being stuck in the snow up on the mountains and afterwards i decided to have a walk in the spa gardens of central wiesbaden out to the nerotal park. it made for a long and nice walk with drooling at all the wonderful villas. until i met an old man who tried to hook up with me. yeah, that's what my life looks like. mishaps all the time! the warmer damm park the hessian state theatre ducks at the pond of the kurpark walking on thin ice! leaving the kurpark and walking through nerotal park.

photogenius # 3.

here's the promised third photogenius edition. well, a little bit huge this time, haha. # julia hafstrom by arthur elgort for teen vogue february 2010 - julia hafstrom wears the most wonderful red lipstick colour here! well. and i simply can't say no to redheads. # ginta lapiņa by rony shram - very romantic shoot! ginta is a typical cutiepie. # ranya mordanova for zara s/s 2010 - everything is worn so hippie-esque here with a touch of minnie-mouse feeling. well, i think this is the style that i adore mostly recently. i want to wear these clothes all day long! # karen elson by craig mcdean - craig mcdean is well known for crazy rainbowy tutorials ( like the sasha pivovarova portrait down there ). this shoot comes as a water-coloured painting with bubblegum pastels. and it's floating. at least in front of my eyes, haha. # róisín murphy by dancian for zoo germany f/w '09-'10 #25 - this woman is proving that you still can be one hell of a sex bomb after you've...

hey guys, i'm finally having an off time from work, visiting my parents and being generally lazy ( except of helping my parents in the house a bit ). and i have fast internet. and so i must take the chance and work on some blog entries! i've gathered quite some good videos again ( and photography entry will follow soon! ), take a look! fever ray . keep the streets empty this time i start with fever ray's 'keep the streets empty' and guess what. you know that voice, huh? yeah, karin dreijer andersson of fever ray distributed to röyksopp's 'what else is there?' ! i definitely am hooked! the ronettes . be my baby THE song. you know, dirty dancing and everything. i could listen to that song all day long... even though i'm not sure if i'm currently in love with someone, haha :P well i can't decide which video to post next, so let's do a little triple version: let me introduce to you ' die antwoord ', a south african hiphop/rave crew! a...

alexander mcqueen.

yes i'm quite late about the news. the fashion world lost someone who was such an enrichment every time a new collection came up. inventing himself in new ways all the time and creating otherwordly customes to dream and wonder about was his biggest strength. there's no one who could take his place at all. never. his genius mind was the missing link to a fashion that depicted this century, in which we are now living. his work was the future, is the future, will always be future. rest in peace, alexander mcqueen. ( see more good memento moris written by gala darling and the coilhouse dudes ) as we all somehow expected lady gaga remembered her idol and personal inspiration guru live on stage at the brit awards.

must-see movie: metropolis.

on friday night, 20.30 european time ( berlin ), it was time to re-premiere the reconstructed science-fiction-thriller-romance movie 'metropolis'. and what a premiere it was! i was totally blown away. i've watched metropolis before but it never had such good picture quality and of course one quarter of the movie always missed. they found a movie strip in argentinia a couple of years ago and after quite some reconstructing now only 8 minutes of the movie are missing. i can't explain properly what this movie is made of. i will try. this movie is one of the most pioneering and inspirational movies ever. it had so much impact on a whole lot of people: directors, musicians, actors, designers. (clearly you remember the post where i mentioned mr. karl lagerfeld portraying toni garrn) there was an 80ies version of the movie as well, with music from bonnie tyler, queen and several other artists. ( i like the version with the original music better, but this version is also quite ...
