blücher festival & unsuspected acquaintances.

the blücher festival in kaub was really different from all the historical markets & festivals i've attented yet. first off, it was not medieval but about a time hundreds of years later - when napoleon tried to annex germany. the blücher days are about the general gebhard leberecht blücher , a general that helped a lot to fight napoleon's troops. it was really interesting to learn about the time in late 18th century, early 19th century. the day was shiny and sunny first but there was a storm coming up later. after we had seen enough of the festival we decided to finally explore the hallgartener zange - a small mountain. we had read that there was a look-out & a restaurant but when we got there it turned out it was in ruins and forgotten. there was a dog roaming around & its owners came right around the corner. the man tried to get up to the tower's top and asked me if i wanted to come with him. everything was locked up except one bit where you had to push your...

'wenn das wasser im rhein gold'ner wein wär'...' rosa corymbifera. the sw...
