on labor day me and j. decided to visit the opelzoo. it was quite a journey, because people had bicycle tours everywhere and roads were partially closed. but we finally made it after we took a few detours. in the end the animals in the zoo were a wonderful reward for the little nuisances we had. the baby giraffes were running and chasing - it was so fascinating to watch them. i really love giraffes, they are such social and lovely animals. lynx! they are such beautiful creatures. little bug running around randomly. a bird outdoor enclosure. kangaroo love! blue tongue reaching out for food. red panda hanging in a tree full of blossoms. heavy metal wart hog! and the most hilarious little animals ever: suricates! also called meerkats. checking out its visitors. i really love this one. goodbye, lovely giraffe!

some random pictures & of sunny days back in april. today the sun shines after approximately 3 weeks and it feels so refreshing. hopefully, warmer temperatures will arrive soon. it's about time!

a lovely friend of mine celebrated her birthday a month ago... and i made a few pictures :) nothing more to add here! except: the cake was so sweet it hurt, but i had 3 slices and it was heavenly! i hope i will die while eating cake when my time comes. the birthday girl! that is me while eating cake. now you know it. it is my cake face!

a few weeks ago i went to another medieval festival with l. and some of her friends. we got lost on our way there, at least it seemed so. in fact it was totally different. the castle we visited was in such a provincial area that we almost thought we'd reached the end of the world. in the end it was one of the best medieval markets i've visited this year. small but very authentic and nice. tuberculosis free livestock. sheep greeting us on our way up. we had to take a rest because the way up to the castle was so steep! and since it was very early spring all kinds of dry leaves were still lying around so i took a bath in them. castle hohenstein . musician & jugglers. hanging rats. sneaking upon stylish people. this nice guy gave me his cute ferret to hold. i was in heaven as you can see on the next photo. it was the softest little thing! first aid. to the knights! lookout. ant photographs. the tent o...
