the many faces of hungary 2010 #6 . the balaton

this is the final post about my vacations to hungary. because i love the balaton lake so much i saved it for my final installment. everytime i'm at the lake i feel so care-free and relaxed, it's like i'm outside of myself looking down on earth, seeing all that beauty our world has to offer. it's the balaton that makes me crave for a trip to hungary every year. when i'm older, i'm goin' to buy a house next to it and enjoy my last years on earth to fullest. dreams are so good sometimes. one of many swans populating the lake. at the haven from balatonmariafürdö . a guy selling pyramid cake. it's a very popular snack in hungary. the end.

the many faces of hungary 2010 #5 . various happenings

well, before i end my adventures in hungary, here are some pictures that didn't quite fit into a category. while we were in hungary the very last games of the world cup in football took place. we were rooting for our home country, of course. sadly, they didn't make it to the top. but third place is such a good result as well, especially for such a young team. hopefully next time we'll win the world cup! there are a lot of cats to be found in hungary. such a paradise for me, haha. you'll also find huge bugs everywhere. i was reading momo by michael ende for the first time and i have to say that it's such a wonderful novel. it's about time and how important it is for us and that you can't save it, you need to live it. next and last one of the hungary files: the balaton.
